Our B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies prepares students for careers serving as advocates and educators, and supports working with children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and their families.
BIRTH THROUGH KINDERGARTEN TEACHER LICENSURE, EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT & EDUCATION, B.S.
The Birth-Kindergarten Teacher Licensure Concentration prepares students to teach in public kindergarten, N.C. Pre-K, and Head Start. Upon degree completion students will be eligible for N.C. licensure.
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT & EDUCATION, B.S. EARLY CARE & EDUCATION CONCENTRATION
The Early care and Education Concentration prepares students to work with young children with and without disabilities in a variety of diverse contexts, including community child care centers, private kindergartens, hospitals, and parent-child centers.
UNDERGRADUATE MINOR
Enhance the lives of older adults through evidence-based practices.
UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIP
Human Development and Family Studies majors are required to complete a professional development course (HDF 377) prior to their internship (HDF 499).
