Department of Human Development and Family Studies alum Wayne Foster (’01) was recently awarded the inaugural Legacy in Leadership Award from the N.C. Speech, Hearing and Language Association (NCSHLA) for his impact and advocacy in the field. Foster is retired from working with public schools and currently works part-time with Cheshire Center of Greensboro, a pediatric speech and language clinic.
Foster serves as an informal mentor to UNCG students, as well as being on the UNC Greensboro Foundation Board of Directors.
